Description

>Offered here is an
old and original
1960 PITTSBURGH PIRATES "Beat'em, Bucs!"
paper placemat
!!
Please see all
six
photos, as they are an important part of my description. This
high-grade
and especially
fragile
,
textured-paper
placemat (with fancy scalloped edges) measures approximately
14" x 10"
and features an outstanding team photo of the
Pittsburgh Pirates
, including
Bill Mazeroski
and
Roberto Clemente
. It appears this vintage placemat was printed
after
they had won the National League pennant, but
before
they defeated the New York Yankees in a thrilling seven games in the 1960 World Series. According to the placemat's text, it says:
"See the World Series everyday in Pittsburgh's finest Restaurants - a T.V. set in each dining room during the Series".
It then lists eateries/lounges/bars in the greater
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
metro area. Very tough baseball ephemera!!
