Description
Vintage universal pocket watch key, bench key or mainspring let down tool for pocket watch repair tools. This tool is signed Pioneer and Made in England. It has tapered jaws with a squared nose that is spring loaded which by pressing the button on the opposite end, allows the jaws to protrude from the handle and opening larger the farther out they go. The spring has plenty of tension and was tested on a variety of different style keywind movements prior to listing. Some key wind movements that have a shroud around the square arbor, it can be a tight fit on however, it did work. You may only run into problems if that shroud is bent otherwise, I had no trouble on any of the various movements I tested this key with. Nice quality tool. It measures 2.5" end to end. This listing is AS-IS and as described.
