Tag sewn onto back pocket of trousers read:
TROUSERS, MEN’S, FIELD, M-65
1.
Wear as outer garment in cold-wet climate or as the inner layer of the cold-dry uniform.
2.
Button in liner for added insulation.
3.
Attach suspension hooks to waist loops.
4.
Adjust waist by buckle straps.
5.
Ventilate by loosening drawcords.
6.
Wear leg bottoms outside foot gear and secure drawcords.
7.
Avoid over heating of body.
8.
Brush snow from garment before entering heated shelter.
9.
Dry trousers and liner separately.
10.
Lubricate slide fasteners with graphite or candle wax.
11.
Laundry by cotton method, Formula I, FM 10-16.

I can find no size markings in these trousers

No rips, tears, holes or staining noted.

All stitching appears to be intact.

These appear to be unused / unissued
This comes from my husband's collection Craig Pickrall, one of the Co-founders of the U.S. Militaria Forum who passed away Aug. 18, 2014.  He was the most awesome Militaria collector (and husband).  He loved to collect and spend hours on the Forum assisting anyone who had a question to be answered, he schooled me the best he could about his collection and all the resources and books he had so I might have a clue, he did an awesome job with who he was working with and what he had going on at the time :)
AS STATED ABOVE, THIS WAS MY HUSBAND’S COLLECTION.  PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT I WAS NOT THE COLLECTOR AND DO NOT CLAIM ANY EXPERTISE ON MILITRIA.  THE INFORMATION I POST COMES FROM REFERENCE BOOKS HE HAD AND WHAT I CAN FIND ON THE INTERNET.  I DO MY BEST TO GIVE AN ACCURATE DISCRIPTION OF THE ITEM POSTED.  I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ANSWER ANY TECHNICAL QUESTIONS ABOUT THE ITEM POSTED.  THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING.
