I have a size six and a size seven of this very rare edition of the LOVE ring.
I have been selling the classic Robert Indiana LOVE rings that I had found at an estate sale about 16 years ago. I only recently came across this very unique version, with a slightly different style as seen in the photos.
Exquisite costume jewelry ring.  The classic Robert Indiana LOVE sign.  A pop art beauty that is absolutely fabulous!    This decorative treasure measures 2/4 of an inch square at the footprint and stands approx. 1/4 of an inch off the finger.
Robert Indiana  was born in 1928.  He settled in New York and worked with other important NYC painters such as Kelly, Smith, and Youngerman.  He was inspired by grets such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Jim Dine and Jasper Johns.  In NY his works can be seen at The Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), the Whitney, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET).
Indiana's best known image is the word "LOVE" in a square with a tilted "O". This image was first created for a Christmas card for the Museum of Modern Art in 1964.
A Robert Indiana LOVE painting sold at Sothebys in 2006 for over 0,000.
The ring is for both men and women, but they are sizes 6 and 7 so it is on the small side for a man. I can barely get it over my pinky finger. It is a good looking modern piece, and would definitely be worn by a woman, and it would be worn by a man if it were resized by a jeweler if needed.
